Rhodesian Helmets:

Rhodesian Frontier Police Sun Helmet

A sun helmet from the North Rhodesian Frontier Police from the 1920s. This helmet features a museum label inside that claims it is from the Zambian police, but Zambia didn't become a country until 1962.

Rhodesian Sun Helmet From the Second Infantry Division

This South African made helmet is dated 1942, and features the flash of the Rhodesian Second Infantry Division.

These helmetswere originally designed as polo helmets, but were used by the Rhodesian army (following the practice of the South African Army) in place of the steel helmet during the 1930s and 1940s.

A South African Police (Rhodesian) Constable Shako

This type of headgear, which almost seems inspired by the Imperial German tropical shako, was used by the Rhodesian South African Police in the 1950s and 1960s. This type of headgear was also used by military forces, including the King's African Rifles.
